SCOPE

THE PROJECT

Renewing a landmark civic gathering place

Complex restoration in a fully operational public plaza

South Central Inc. is executing a multi-phase rehabilitation of the Ceremonial Ramp and Ancillary Structures at Nathan Phillips Square. The work renews a high-profile public asset while respecting its distinctive civic and heritage character.

The project includes concrete restoration, shoring, waterproofing, expansion joints, paving, architectural soffit lighting, stainless steel balustrade support brackets, heritage crack repairs and removable heritage-replicated soffit cladding. Every phase is planned around the needs of a fully operational civic plaza.

From site setup through detailed restoration, the approach centers on public safety, durable performance and careful protection of the surrounding environment. The completed work will support the continued use of this important Toronto gathering space.
