157 King Street – St. Lawrence Hall Chandelier

A specialty restoration project at St. Lawrence Hall, one of Toronto’s most prized heritage landmarks. South Central Inc. provided rigging, hoisting, and installation support for the meticulous restoration and reinstallation of the historic chandelier in the Great Hall. The project required extraordinary precision and coordination with heritage specialists to protect irreplaceable decorative elements throughout the process.

Etobicoke Olympium – Chiller Plant Upgrades

South Central Inc. completed a chiller plant mechanical room upgrade at the Etobicoke Olympium recreation centre. The project included concrete slab-on-grade repairs, waterproofing, equipment pad construction, and associated civil works to support the installation of new chiller plant equipment. The scope required precise coordination with mechanical contractors and facility management to ensure continuity of the Olympium’s ice and aquatic programming.

Donald D. Summerville Olympic Pool – Restoration

South Central Inc. completed a restoration project at the Donald D. Summerville Olympic Pool on Toronto’s waterfront. The scope encompassed structural concrete repairs to the pool basin and mechanical spaces, waterproofing of the pool tank and deck areas, tile replacement, expansion joint remediation, and accessibility upgrades. The project was executed during the off-season to allow the facility to reopen fully for summer programming.

Bayview Leaside BIA – Parkette Reconstruction

South Central Inc. completed a streetscape and parkette reconstruction project for the Bayview Leaside Business Improvement Area. The work included full demolition and reconstruction of interlocking brick and concrete sidewalks, installation of decorative planters, tree grate systems, site furnishings, and ornamental lighting bases. The project significantly enhanced the pedestrian environment and commercial appeal of the Bayview Avenue corridor.

Windmill Line Cooperative – Parking Garage

South Central Inc. completed a parking garage restoration for the Windmill Line Housing Cooperative in Toronto. The project involved structural concrete repairs to columns, beams, and suspended slabs, traffic deck coating application, expansion joint replacements, and waterproofing. Work was executed during active parking operations with careful traffic management to maintain resident access throughout the project.

1651 Sheppard Avenue – State of Good Repair

South Central Inc. delivered a state-of-good-repair program at the Toronto Community Housing Corporation complex at 1651 Sheppard Avenue East. The comprehensive program included concrete balcony slab repairs and coatings, exterior masonry repointing, window and door surround caulking, common area flooring replacements, and accessibility upgrades. The multi-year phased program was carefully coordinated to minimize impact on the building’s hundreds of residential occupants.

111 Wellesley Street – 4th Floor Interior Renovation

South Central Inc. completed an interior restoration project at 111 Wellesley Street East, a high-rise residential building in Toronto’s St. James Town neighbourhood. The scope included complete 11,000 sf drop ceiling replacement, all new light fixtures, new systems furniture, interior finishes, electrical upgrades, flooring replacement, and network cabling.

65 Front Street, Union Station Partial Sidewalk Waterproofing and Heritage Masonry Restoration

South Central Inc. recently completed work at 65 Front Street in Toronto’s historic Union Station. Waterproofing restoration, streetscaping, limestone and parapet wall restoration, and heritage board formed concrete soffit restoration were completed with careful coordination.

21 Main Street – Church Addition and Restoration

South Central Inc. completed a masonry restoration and structural addition project for a heritage church in Toronto’s east end. The project encompassed tuckpointing and repointing of historic brick and stone, steeple repairs, foundation waterproofing, and construction of a new accessible entrance addition. Care was taken to match historic mortar mixes and masonry profiles to seamlessly blend new work with the original 19th-century structure.

Etobicoke Civic Centre – Asphalt and Siteworks

South Central Inc. completed over 400,000 square feet of new asphalt and 15,000 square feet of new concrete apron pavement at the Etobicoke Civic Centre, a major City of Toronto municipal campus. The scope included full-depth asphalt reclamation and repaving, curb and gutter replacements, drainage improvements, line painting, tunnel restoration, podium deck waterproofing, structural concrete restoration, and new stair foundations. The civic centre remained fully operational throughout the work.

1115 Queen Street – Theatre Centre Restoration

South Central Inc. completed an exterior envelope restoration at the Theatre Centre at 1115 Queen Street West. The scope included masonry repointing, limestone and terracotta repairs, heritage woodwork, sandstone refinishing, heritage door and window restoration, foundation waterproofing, roofing replacement, chimney tuckpointing, accessibility upgrades, landscaping, and interior wood beam repairs. All work respected the building designation and its role as an active arts venue.

777 Bay Street – Totem Pole Installation

South Central Inc. provided specialty civil and structural support for the installation of a totem pole at 777 Bay Street in downtown Toronto. The project involved foundation preparation, concrete base construction, crane coordination, and precision structural setting. Careful collaboration with the artist, property management, and City of Toronto representatives achieved a flawless installation.

1116 King Street West – Paramedic Fleet Maintenance Garage Upgrades

South Central Inc. is undertaking major upgrades to the Toronto Paramedic Fleet Maintenance Garage at 1116 King Street West. The project includes structural concrete restoration, waterproofing of the garage deck and walls, overhead door replacements, mechanical system upgrades, and surface repairs to support the operational readiness of Toronto’s paramedic fleet.

285 Spadina Road – Spadina Museum

South Central Inc. performed a heritage restoration at Spadina Museum, a City of Toronto historic house museum dating to 1866. Work included masonry repointing, stone cleaning, structural repairs to historic chimneys and decorative stonework, window and door surround restoration, and heritage envelope waterproofing. All work adhered strictly to conservation standards.

Consilium Place Renovations

A comprehensive renovation of Consilium Place in the Scarborough Town Centre area of Toronto. Work included heritage masonry restoration, structural concrete repairs, facade upgrades, waterproofing, caulking and sealant replacement, window system upgrades, and exterior cladding restoration. South Central’s crews coordinated closely with building management to minimize disruption to active tenants.

Union Station – HVM, Dynamic Bollards, Stone Repairs and Drainage

South Central Inc. completed a multi-phased Hostile Vehicle Mitigation project at Union Station for the City of Toronto. The scope included more than 190 security bollards, custom precast anti-terror barriers, granite paving replacement, concrete slab repairs, trench drain installation, partial sidewalk waterproofing, and associated civil works. Public safety, pedestrian access, and station operations were maintained throughout.

1–153 Middleton Way – Concrete Stairs

South Central Inc. completed a concrete stair and landing replacement project at the Middleton Way residential complex. The work involved demolition and reconstruction of deteriorated concrete stairs, landings, and walkways serving multiple residential blocks, along with guardrail installations and surface coatings. Work was phased to maintain safe resident access.

25 King Street – Commerce Court Monument Installation

South Central Inc. provided specialty structural and masonry work for a monument installation at Commerce Court, one of Toronto’s most prestigious financial district addresses. The project involved precision concrete base construction, stone setting, and coordination with heritage consultants and property management.

Humber ECS – Field Office and Infrastructure

South Central Inc. executed an infrastructure and site works contract for Humber College’s Environmental Centre of Studies. The project included concrete flatwork, exterior structural repairs, accessibility upgrades, utility trench construction, and site grading. Work was coordinated around academic scheduling to minimize disruption.

Nathan Phillips Square – Ceremonial Ramp and Ancillary Structures Rehabilitation

South Central Inc. is executing a multi-phase rehabilitation of the Ceremonial Ramp and Ancillary Structures at Nathan Phillips Square. The project includes concrete restoration, shoring, waterproofing, expansion joints, paving, architectural soffit lighting, stainless steel balustrade support brackets, heritage crack repairs, and a removable heritage-replicated soffit cladding system within a fully operational civic plaza.

777 Bay Street – College Park Podium Deck

A podium deck restoration at 777 Bay Street, one of Toronto’s prominent mixed-use towers. South Central Inc. performed extensive concrete restoration, waterproofing membrane replacement, expansion joint remediation, and structural repairs. Careful sequencing maintained operations of retail and commercial tenants below.

College Park Podium Deck – 420 Yonge Street

South Central Inc. completed a podium deck remediation at 420 Yonge Street, addressing water infiltration and structural degradation. Work included waterproofing membrane installation, concrete crack injection, traffic coatings, and restoration of heritage architectural elements. The project was phased to maintain continuous public access.

Amsterdam Fountain – Heritage Restoration

Work included masonry cleaning, stone repointing, crack injection, bronze element restoration, and waterproofing of the fountain basin.
