Conservation-led work at every stage
South Central Inc. completed heritage restoration work at Spadina Museum, a City of Toronto historic house museum dating to 1866. The project called for a careful approach that protected the building’s distinctive character while supporting its long-term performance.
Work included masonry repointing, stone cleaning, structural repairs to historic chimneys and decorative stonework, restoration of window and door surrounds, and heritage envelope waterproofing. Each element was planned around conservation standards and the needs of an active public setting.
From early site review through final completion, the team focused on compatible materials, deliberate sequencing and respectful site protection. The finished work helps preserve a cherished Toronto landmark for future visitors.
