SCOPE

THE PROJECT

Restoring a landmark at the centre of Toronto

Complex work in a high-traffic public setting

South Central Inc. delivered partial sidewalk waterproofing, heritage masonry restoration and public-realm repairs at Union Station. The assignment focused on protecting important building fabric and the pedestrian environment around one of Toronto’s defining civic landmarks.

The work demanded precise staging and close coordination in a busy transportation setting. Access, public safety and heritage-sensitive repair requirements were considered together throughout every phase of the work.

From early planning through final public-realm repairs, the approach centered on careful sequencing, clear communication and durable detailing. The completed work helps protect the site while supporting the daily movement of commuters and visitors.
